How to begin with CVS

I want to forward this link to you all from my favorite bargain hunter money saving mom. Here is a brief summary of how save at CVS . Follow that link read it and email me if you have ANY questions about it!! Remember to go on line and link an email with your CVS Extra Care Bucks card so you get those great deals they email for time to time that are 3 off 15 4 off 20 5 off 25 and 5 off 30. You may think you'd never spend that kind of money at CVS BUT its amazing after the coupon plus several others AND the ECB how little you will spend!! So first thing is first, read the link above, go get your CVS Extra Care card, register your Extra care card and look for a small way to get some ECB to use ( I rarely buy something I don't need just to get the ECB, BUT Ive found that I have enjoyed trying different things too but hey if I don't have a dog or don't wear contacts Im not buying the stuff!!) Please feel free to email me any questions too. I will in the next few days send you some info on how to save at the other stores like walgreens and target (one of my favorites) if you have a store youwanna learn about email me and Ill post the info if I miss your store. Remember to post what you saved and pass the deals onto us!! I will be posting the deals for this week at some of the stores as well. Happy saving!! pass the blog on and help us all save!!

Just an example from last week to share

So I was out of Clariton D (just started using it and I think its expensive but ya gotta do what ya gotta do sometimes) and the price for a 30 count is $27.00. I got the coupon via email from CVS that was save $5 off $25 (IF you register your Extra Care card via email they will send you these offers quite frequently). So here's how the transaction went
Clariton was on sale for $19.99 and i had a $4.00 off manufacturer coupon from the Sunday paper and printed this coupon here for another $4.00 off. In the same transaction I bought the large Charmin that was on sale for $9.99 (with $2 extra care bucks coming back to me) and dawn dish detergent that was on sale for 2 for $2.00 (with $1.00 Extra care buck coming to me). I had Two .20 cents off dawn manufacturer coupons I got from the Sunday paper. The order came to $33.90. I first gave them the $5 off $25, then the two clariton coupons for $4.00 each, then I gave them two .20 cents off coupons for the Dawn. The total was $18.58 with $3 ECB that were printed on my receipt. I then did another transaction (I was short on money and wanted to use the ECB right away). The second order was 4 boxes of Kellogg's cereal. They were one sale for $4.49 BOGO (Buy one get one free), Two packages of Kebler Sandies cookies on sale 2/4.00. The order came to 12.98. I used two 1.00 off each package of cookies I got from the internet (the same link as above), I used 4 $1.00 each cereal box from here and I also had 1 manufacturer coupon for an additional $1.50 off if I bought two boxes. I then used my $3.00 ECB I had earned on the previous transaction my total I paid was $2.38. Both orders totaled $20.96. So I figure I was going in there to spend $20 on clariton and felt like I got the rest free in a sense (not to mention I was out of those things in the first place) I was thrilled!!! Here it is broken down a bit better so you can "see" it better...
First Transaction

Lets just start sharing our deals

Okay so here's what I thought we could use this for...that is until I get some more instructions on how to share our savings. I thought it would be a good place for now that we can share our deals of the week...Oh and most importantly if we are looking for a coupon or a tip on how to save money. For example I was making a cake for Emma and just really wanted to buy the cake mix with a coupon and it drove me crazy I didn't have one!! would have loved to ask all of you if you had one. So Thought we could share our deals on here. We will keep it low key, only people that we know we should refer to the blog spot ya know....privacy!! But i think It'll be good to share with others. I WILL eventually get the hows of the money saving thing since so many don't like to go to the most loved and trusted Moneysavingmom.com. plus my vision was for a local thing. Like where do kids eat free around here wouldn't that be great to have in one spot to look. okay you got it!!!

$1.54 Deals at the Carters Store

I stopped at a Carters store near the concord mall yesterday. I always get good deals on Pjs there for my daughter, usually $5. I also will try and spend $50 (I know it sounds like a lot....) because if you spend 50 you get 10 off.....its a 20% off 50 coupon they send out if you are on their mailing list. Anyway since it was on the way home from church I didn't have my coupon and didn't want to waste gas since its not that close to myself I dd ask the sales associate if they had an extra and they reach deep and found me one. Something Ive learned in EVERY store I shop is to ask the desk for any coupons. Even grocery store (sometimes Giant has 5 off 50) all children's clothing stores and all department stores. Anyway. the Pjs I guess as they get older are getting more expensive. But they were $6.00 which with 20% off is only 4.80. So I guess that was still good. But what this post is Really about was the sales rack. After I got a few Pjs for this year and some for next for my daughter I went to the sales rack. most of the stuff at this store was for children under 24 months. BUT it was not only 3.99 clearance but also an additional 50% off. Soooo thats 1.97 PLUS 20% off...whats that 1.54. they had sleepers up to 24 months, cute outfits.....so while they didn't have anything for my daughters size I know a couple people expecting and picked up a few things for 1.54!!!! I'm letting you know ESPECIALLY if you have one under 24 months. Great sale!!!

50% off all Vegtables at Linvilla

During the winter months...now almost over Linvilla Orchard has all their vegetables at 50% off. Its been such a blessing since produce is sooo much. I compared it to my local farmers market (Booths Corner here in Boothwyn) I usually go to there on Saturday nights and get their discounted produce, they have tables where packs of assorted vegetables are $1.25 (used to be just $1.00) but Linvilla is a better deal right now. And its great quality. If you have a farmers market close by you or an orchard and they offer a great deal like this let us know!
